The pretty town of Brecon is just 15 minutes from Aberllynfi House and is of course the gateway to the magnificent Brecon Beacons mountains, capped by the 886m high Pen y Fan. Close to home are the Black Mountains, ridges and peaks all around a slightly more sedate 600m. Hay Bluff, & Twmpa are the most accessible, but for the more adventurous, ridges can be followed as far as Crickhowell.
The Brecon Beacons National park hosts a stunning array of landscapes including rivers, caves and waterfalls. The western section of the park is a Geopark, due to its world class geology, and the entire park is a Dark Skies Reserve, meaning that it is one of the best places in Britain to stargaze and ponder life itself!
Guided walks and activities in the hills, mountains, gorges and caves can be arranged. Ask us for details when you book.
